WEATHER IN TALLINN

September is a typical autumn month in Tallinn, capital of Estonia.

The average temperature in September is 12-17°C, there is plenty of sunlight and colourful leaves. Nights tend to be rather chilly with an average low temperature of 7°C. There might be occasional showers so we recommend checking the weather forecast beforehand and bringing suitable clothes.

     It is a good idea to check weather.ee for accurate weather information.

MEDICAL SERVICE AND POLICE

In case of an accident or sudden illness, call for an ambulance or the police free-of-charge from any phone: 112.
Pharmacies are usually open from 10:00-19:00 in major shopping centres. The pharmacy on the Town Hall Square in the Town Hall building is open 24/7.
No vaccinations or health certificates are required for entry into Estonia. A health insurance policy is optional. Travellers requiring dialysis can read more about local treatment options here.

 

 

INTERNET

Estonia has become famous for its abundance of free, public Wi-Fi, which is available in nearly every café, restaurant, hotel and hostel, as well in open spaces such as city squares and parks. 

 

 

CURRENCY

National currency: Euro (1 euro = 100 cents)
Most banks are open from 9:00 to 18:00 on weekdays.
Major credit cards are widely accepted throughout the country. ATMs are easily found everywhere.

VISA

Estonia has been a member of the European Union (as well as NATO) since 2004. Estonia is also a part of the Schengen visa area. Nationals of the EU are free to enter Estonia. The required travel document for entry is a national ID card or passport.
